Cabinet briefed on keelty fire report that the leak was probably caused by engine trouble caused by too much fuel being burned as part of the flight of the planes
The plane was flying from JFK to Las Vegas when it disappeared from radar about 30 miles off the coast of southern California
The pilot was cleared to come to the airport from the ground, although it is thought he was already aboard his flight
Mr Trump said he received reports of a fire on board the plane that he said was caused by too much fuel being burned in the aircraft’s engine.
‘The airplane came to a sudden stop,’ he said to reporters. ‘We tried e바카라사이트verything. It turned out the captai바카라사이트n and I were on the plane. We tried everything we could.’
Mr Trump said he was told the engines, which take in about 30,000 pounds of fuel at peak, ran dry and the aircraft ‘lost control’.
After about five minutes the plane made a sudden, sharp turn that gave rise to a dramatic ‘flash bang,’ followed by another crash.
Mr Trump said he told the plane’s pilot he was ‘not in control.’
After checking that it had started again, he told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour: ‘I had no choice.’
‘I didn’t know how much fuel there was on that plane,’ he added.
It comes as investigators searched for the cause of the crash and recovered three bodies that were on the flight deck while investigating reports of a possible fire.
The bodies of Michael Flynn (left), Vice President Mike Pence (center), retired Lt Gen Michael Flynn (right) and Air Force Two Chief Paul Bissonnette were on board the plane. The search for Flight 93 began around noon
Two more bodies were found in the fuselage, where investigators found bodies of retired Air Force Lt Gen Michael Flynn, 60, and retired Lt Gen Paul Bissonnette, 60. They were found in the fuselage as firefighting crews checked to make sure the plane was safe
The plane was carrying 19 retired Army members and a number of other national security officials as well as Vice President Mike Pence and national security adviser H.R. McMaster.
The plane crashed aroun바카라d 2.30am, hitting the Pacific Ocean at about 300 feet as it was descending from a 35,000-foot altitude.
An investigation has already begun into how the plane lost radio contact for more than two minutes, causing it to crash on a remote Pacific island, possibly in an open ocean, according to FAA official
